Week 7 of my fitness updates ~ I finished up final exams this week, so now I have the time to regroup and get back on top of things!
Unfortunately, I missed a couple of days this week so I could study for finals (had to triage my responsibilities) and the days I did go to the gym weren’t my best, since I’ve been feeling a bit sick this week… ‾\_(ツ)_/‾
WEEK 7 | December 15, 2019
Speaking of regrouping and having extra time on my hands… I started a new system for keeping track of my workouts, meal plans, etc.. This is part of a new obsession with making spreadsheets to keep track of my life. This stems from two things:
I want that data.
I want to be able to look back on my workouts and see where I can improve.
I find that I have trouble remembering how much weight I lift. This will help me keep track of that so I can look back and reference previous data.
Accountability – seeing the data in this form will help me push myself so I continue to lift heavier and actually do that cardio I’ve been avoiding.
I am really busy.
I work a kind-of corporate job and I am a university student, so I need to streamline everything I do because I have no time. The less I have to think about, the easier it gets. If that means I make spreadsheets with meal plans and workouts, then that’s what I’ll do.
~BONUS BENEFIT~ I now have something productive to do between sets!! If I’m completely honest, I normally play Pokemon Go when I’m resting between sets. When I catch a Pokemon, I name it after whatever workout I’m doing at the time.
